On the photo above you can see Simona Mauro, Barbara Mennella, Carol O’Leary and Julia Lynes, all part of our EazyCork team. Last week, on Thursday the 8th of November, they were present at the Cork Independent Haven Charity Night at the Curraheen dog track in Cork City.
Our staff attended the night as EazyCork was a sponsor and has proudly supported this event for the past number of years.
This event raised more than 5,000€ for the Haven foundation in Haiti.
Haven is an Irish non-governmental organisation working to build sustainable communities, through the provision of housing, emergency relief and by installing community development programs.
The organisation was founded in late 2008 and launched in 2009 and since the earthquake hit Haiti’s capital city, Port au Prince, on January 12th, 2010, Haven has been working in affected areas.
Training is a key element of Haven’s programmes, and critical to its success.
To date Haven has trained over 3,000 Haitians in construction, agriculture, hygiene promotion, water and sanitation and solar power installation and maintenance.
