If you’ll be in Dublin next Sunday and you love Christmas time you can’t miss the official Christmas tree lighting ceremony on O’Connell Street! 
The Geansaí Nollag 2012 is an amazing free festive day out for all the family, starting at 3.30 pm.
Everyone is encouraged to wear his/her best Christmas jumper (sweater) and help Dublin to set the new World Record: the most number of people wearing Christmas jumpers in one place at the same time. Last year a record number of 583 jumper-wearers attended the celebration!
Christmas carol singers from both the Halleluia Gospel Choir and St. Andrew’s Choir will join the Army band on O’Connell Street to perform the most famous Christmas songs.
