Why did you choose Ireland?
I always wanted to come to Ireland because I love this island and its culture. Also my best friend came 2 years ago and worked for 3 months as an au pair with an Irish family and absolutely loved her time here!
What are you currently doing… working or studying?
I am very lucky because I found a job just few days after I finished my english course. I came to Cork to do a 3 weeks english course to improve my level of english and after my course my goal was to find a job that could allow me to stay until the end of the summer and pay my rent. The EazyCity team in Cork organised a paid internship in Italee Caffe’ Restaurant which is my first real job. I only had babysitting experience in Varese, (Italy). At Italee I worked as a waitress, I took orders at the tables and served customers.
What are you studying at University?
I study languages (English, French and Spanish) at the University of Varese. My French and Spanish are quite good but my English needed to improve, this is also why I am here.
What would you like to do after your degree?
After I graduate I would like to become a teacher and work with young students, I hope my dream comes through!
What did you gain from this experience?
This experience really helped me to grow personally and made me more independent. I also improved my english and during my stay made many friends. It was the best experience of my life!
