«Free beer» is just a dream? Not anymore in Cork city!
The famous Corkonian Murphy’s Brewery has just launched a smartphone app that gives you a free pint when it’s raining anywhere around the county: the «When It Rains It Pours» app!
How does it works? You just have to download the app (which is available for iPhone and Android), and when it says it’s been raining anywhere in Cork, you can claim one of 1000 free pints of Murphy’s stout on offer for every rainy day this August and September. The app will also show a map of participating venues in Cork city and county.
So, if it’s raining, just claim your free pint by opening the app, go to your favourite local and hit the «Redeem» button.
The bar staff will tell you the 4 digit daily code, you’ll have to type in the code and hit «enter».
Show the next screen (the «Pour Screen«) to the bar staff and… cheers to you!
(Note that you can get no more than 1 pint a day and you’ll need a data connection for your smartphone!)
